We operate out of Augusta, Montana. Free airport pickup is available to you in Great Falls, Montana. Both Delta and Northwest Airlines fly into Great Falls. We ask our guests to arrive on the early afternoon flights the day before the trip begins. You will be picked up and asked to give us your gear to mantee that night. You will save out only your toiletries, medicines, water bottle, camera and the clothes you will need the next morning this allows us to pack up your gear in advance and help us get an early start the morning we head out on our adventure. If you are driving we ask you to arrive in Augusta by 4 p.m. the afternoon before your trip begins.
If you are arriving two days early and have a late night flight we will suggest a motel in Great Falls for an overnight stay, we will then arrange a pickup for the next afternoon.
Returns to Great Falls airport not scheduled in advance will require a payment of $100.
Get ready to relax when you arrive in Augusta enjoy observing the small town life from the front porch of the Bunkhouse Inn on main street. You will want to make reservations at the Bunkhouse Inn for the night before your trip begins and the night we return to the trail head. The phone number to make these reservations is 406.562.3387.
A small diner named Mel’s offers ice cream, burgers and amazing breakfasts. The Buckhorn bar serves famous broiled chicken and offers many other menu items such as steak and burgers. Both are directly across the street from the Bunkhouse Inn. Down the street is the Allen’s Manix General Store where they say….”if we don’t have it, you don’t need it”. J and S Country Store also offers a wide variety of souvenirs. The Western Bar also serves great lunch and dinner meals.
There are many attractions in the area you may want to take in before or after your adventure with us. The Lewis and Clark Interpretive Center and the Charles M. Russell Museum are two major attractions in Great Falls more info may be obtained through Travel Montana at www.visitmt.com.
