Montana Private Land Hunting

We have approximately 10,000 acres of private land with the Horse Mountain camp on one end and a small rustic cabin that sleeps 6 on the other end. We can drive to the cabin but all hunting is done on foot or horseback.

This area is fairly open with rolling hills on the east and some very rugged peaks toward Horse Mountain of the west. This is the wintering area for about 500 mule deer and 120 elk. For this reason, we only take 12 to 16 hunters a year. The mule deer hunting here is excellent in November during the rut. The elk hunting can be good depending on weather conditions and outside hunting pressure.

There is a maximum limit of four hunters per group. We provide meals, horses and guides.
