Mills Family: What’s We’re Thankful for in 2023

While we’re close to wrapping up our season, we’re starting to slow down and reflect on another amazing year at Mills Wilderness Adventures of Montana. This time of year always gives us pause as we start to come up for air and count our many blessings in this wild, full and crazy life. While our work includes long hours and days that seem to run into each other, it’s not lost on us that in the Mills family, we have much to be thankful for.

As we celebrate Thanksgiving and lean into the upcoming holiday season, here’s what we’re grateful for in 2023.

1. “I’m thankful for my wife and sons, including their ability and desire to work alongside me in the wilderness.” -Tucker

2. “I am thankful for the wilderness showing us every year just how WILD it truly is. This was a year of surprises served up by nature, cruel in one instance and pleasing in others.” -Amy

3. “I’m thankful for good horses, good food, the wind, the rain, the snow and the sunshine. Fresh air, wildlife and another year of doing what I love with the people I love.” -Bryar

4. “I’m thankful for good help, good horses and good food. My cup overflows. I’m also thankful for a smooth year with no wildfires, no flooding and a good mostly green year. Plus, another year of getting to do what we love with who we love.” -Turk

5. “I’m thankful for getting to spend another year working with the Mills. I’m extremely thankful for my main man Gus who carried me in most trips and even more thankful to get to watch Turk do the things he loves most everyday.” -Mady

To our guests, thanks for giving us the opportunity to continue to share Montana’s wild places and spaces and genuine moments with you. And from our family to yours, we wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving.

With gratitude,

The Mills Family
